Who owns my learning?

Jumping into this world of blogging and eportfolios has definitely taken me outside of my comfort zone.  I am out there for the world to see.  We’ve been talking this week about who owns the learning in these eportfolios. Most definitely it is the student, in this case, me.  In the short time that I have been in this program I have learned so much.  During process of having a choice in what I create and how I create it.  I have learned different programs and technologies.  In addition, I am probably thinking more deeply about the process of learning than I have in quite some time.

One of the best things about creating this website is that it is mine.  When I’m done with my degree I can take this wherever I dare to go.  I can use it as a tool in my career or even recreate my career.  Not to mention the benefit of being in my students shoes and modeling the process for them.  It truly is exciting to think about and the possibilities are endless.
